Meet the Team

Team Member Bex
Team Member Amy

I’m Trevor and I have recently joined the SeeCHANGE partnership as manager.

I will be working alongside Bex and Amy to run this innovative cross sector partnership whose focus is to reduce health inequalities that our communities currently face in Scarborough compared to the rest of the country.

I have worked with Age UK North Yorkshire Coast and Moors for just over two years. I firstly worked on a project supporting people aged 50 plus with their health, wellbeing and employability and then most recently, in the role of HR and Operations Manager.

I had the pleasure of being involved in the development project for SeeCHANGE in 2021/2022 which was a really rewarding experience as we had the opportunity to speak with community groups as to what they would like to see from SeeCHANGE should the partnership become a reality. I am now really excited to be able to work on SeeCHANGE again and look forward to collaborating with the local Voluntary and Community Sector, health services, council services and local businesses, employers and our communities to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of residents in Scarborough.

Away from work, I am a keen roller skater and enjoy visiting local and national events with my skate mates and I enjoy spending time walking around the many scenic areas we are lucky enough to have available on our doorstep, especially our beautiful Scarborough bays!

My name is Bex. I am SeeCHANGE’s Community Engagement Officer.

I have worked at Age UK NYCM since August 2022 and in my I supported people over fifty with their Employability, Health and Wellbeing. Since leaving school, I have worked in the Charity Retail sector, a training provision delivering Maths, English, IT and Employability with young people, childminding, and Holistic Massage Therapist.

I now work with SeeCHANGE to help make a difference in our community as Community Engagement Officer. I am genuinely excited to be a part of SeeCHANGE and what could be life changing for Scarborough’s residents. Our world has changed significantly over the last few years and our communities have dissolved. Being born and raised in Scarborough, it is important to me see our local community regenerating and become connected again.

I love being outside with a book, a cup of tea and even some wool creating things. I also enjoy cycling and modern jive which are attempting to get me fitter.

My name is Amy and I am The Workforce Wellbeing Co-ordinator for the SeeCHANGE business partnership.

I will be working to help bring the project to life in Scarborough! I previously worked as a Mental health Practitioner for SWR Mind, and I moved into this role in early April 2023.

I have a background in Psychology and mental health, and it is those skills I will be pulling upon during this project to help in our venture of health/wellbeing accessibility for business and the wider community. On a less formal note, away from work I spend a lot of my time with my 1-year-old Labrador, Ozzy. Or you can often find me reading, walking or doing something crafty!

My work on the SeeCHANGE includes identifying how businesses can be used to support health and well-being of Scarborough and the wider community. We will also be looking into how workforce wellbeing can be improved by working with both businesses and voluntary organisations. And lastly, how businesses led initiatives in Scarborough can help promote health and wellbeing with ideas such as commitment to adding in healthier menu options in cafes/restaurants etc. It was also noted that an ideal way to get a better understanding was gaining information through local workforces in what they experience on a daily basis.

The aim of the project is inclusion, to remove inequalities that make accessing better health and wellbeing a challenge. Therefore, the inclusion of partnerships, relationships with other businesses and workforces are so important to this project. We plan to build that connection between the SeeCHANGE workforce and other business whether that be training, volunteering, fundraising etc.
